MEET OUR BUSINESS MANAGER - An Episcopalian for 55 years, Bob Wadley has served 7 different Episcopal churches during his lifetime. He has performed many different roles as a vestry member, senior warden, treasurer, and parish administrator. One of the founders of the Brother of St. Andrew chapter at Church of the Ascension, Bob holds an MBA in Church Administration. Before working as a parish administrator, he worked in the banking and mortgage industry for 35 years.
Since 2017, Bob has been serving St. James as our Business Manager. Although he is not a member of our church, one of the things most satisfying to him has been the opportunity to meet and get to know so many of our parishioners. Some of Bob’s most important responsibilities include preparing budgets, recording pledges & gifts, preparing bank deposits, monitoring purchases and payment activities, reconciling bank statements, maintaining appropriate insurance and contract records, preparing payroll, managing the financial database, and preparing required financial reports.
When he was younger, Bob enjoyed hiking and backpacking, golf, water skiing, football, baseball, and basketball with his sons and their friends. Today, he enjoys reading, writing, walking, and playing golf – usually, just 9 holes at a time. Bob is very proud of his two boys, (both, now in their 50’s), and has never known anyone as enthusiastic, loving, and fun to be with as his wife Cathy.
