The Justice Knox Annual Assembly
Monday, November 15, 2021
7:00-8:30 p.m.
First Baptist Knoxville
510 W. Main Street, 37902
As I write this, St. James has had five House Meetings with one more scheduled during the Listening Process period. We have 53 parishioners, thus far, who have committed to fulfilling the Network Member commitments, and we expect that there will be a few more folks who also commit at the next House Meeting. Our St. James justice ministry is growing!
At the Annual Assembly gathering of all 450+ Justice Knox Network Members, we will vote on the issue that will be addressed through our Research and Action process the next few months. It is no surprise that gun violence, houselessness, air and water quality/control, and food insecurity are the issues that have been heard most frequently in our Knoxville House Meetings. Each Network Member present will cast a vote.
We also will welcome new faith community members to the fold: Church Street United Methodist, Erin Presbyterian, First Baptist Knoxville, Heska Amuna Synagogue, and Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church. Justice ministry is growing throughout Knoxville!
