VIOLENCE IN OUR COMMUNITY - A total of 360 individuals participated in the Justice Knox Annual Assembly (meeting of network members) in November. That included 41 from St. James. Following house meeting reports and congregational caucuses, the network members voted to take on the problem of violence in our community. Five new member congregations were also welcomed, including: Church Street United Methodist Church, Erin Presbyterian Church, First Baptist Church Knoxville, Heska Amuna Synagogue, and Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church. Public Defender Eric Lutton was presented with a certificate of partnership for following through on his commitment to the Justice Knox mental health campaign, which has yielded great results
