As COVID continues to present risks to our health, affect the politics of our nation, and impact nearly every other aspect of our lifestyles, the mission at St. James remains the same. For nearly 100 years, we have tended to our neighbors in many compassionate ways by delivering essential services including food, shelter & utility assistance, transportation, and other important resources through our ministries of outreach.
During August & September, you can provide enormous help to support these ministries by hand delivering Neighbor Day Greeting Cards to the owners or managers at the places where you spend your hard-earned money. This includes restaurants, entertainment venues, clothing stores, jewelry stores, specialty gift shops, hardware stores, auto maintenance shops, hair stylists, pet groomers, dentists, eye doctors, you name it!
The PUSH is now to secure as many donated items as we can from area businesses before the bidding begins during our city-wide Neighbor Day online auction in October.
Printed Neighbor Day Greeting Cards are available now at the St. James Church Office. They will also be available before and after church services through the end of September. If you prefer to print your own cards, you may request a downloadable file from Kevin Jeske-Polyak, firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please remember to personalize each card by signing your name before you deliver it. Local businesses appreciate getting to know their patrons by name.
