MEET OUR NURSERY COORDINATOR - Involved with our St James children since 2009, Theresa Ann DeRosa Russell has served as Nursery Coordinator since 2015. In this role, Theresa oversees three paid staff for the nursery and eleven volunteers who serve the nursery and children’s chapel. More than anything, Theresa has loved watching the kids grow up, learn, and thrive through the years. They are all very special to her, so much so that she considers each to be her adopted nieces and nephews. Theresa will always be there for them.
Some of Theresa’s most important responsibilities include making sure nursery and children’s chapel staff and volunteers receive the necessary training, relevant health department childcare guidelines are followed, lesson plans and activities are well-planned and coordinated, nursery and children’s chapel classes are properly staffed, and all the children are supervised and safely cared for.
Away from St. James, Theresa stays very busy as a QA Team Lead for DPRA - her software technology company. During down time from work, she enjoys spending time with her family, camping, going to the park with her nieces and nephews, and swinging with her hubby! Prior to COVID-19, Theresa became accustomed to Sundays being her one day to truly unwind no matter what – because of the kids. Like most of us, Theresa looks forward to things returning to normal at St. James soon.
