Stewardship and Resources

Stewardship at St. James involves every member and every family.

Stewardship is not just giving money to the Church, although financial support is an essential part of parishioners’ responsibilities. There are many ways that members of St. James can give their time and talents: the list of ministries at left describe many of those opportunities.

Stewardship efforts are directed by members of the parish. Scott Teets . msteets@att.net, is St. James Stewardship Chair. Michael Combs, mcombs@utk.edu, is the Vestry Stewardship Advocate. Sarah Gardial, sgardial@utk.edu, chairs the educational aspect of stewardship.

The Annual Giving Program is managed by a committee chaired by Cynthia Thornberg, dunnes6@bellsouth.net, and includes Michael Combs, Scott Teets, Haven Jarvis, Jim Begalla, Katharine Pearson Criss, Gary Taylor, and Martin Beeler. The Annual Giving Program happens each fall in preparation for the following budget year.
