Appalachian Resource Team
The Appalachian Ministries Resource Team's vision is service to the people of East Tennessee. This team serves as a networking and information clearinghouse for the Appalachian region. We provide opportunity for ministry by connecting individuals and congregations with existing community service groups. We know that by helping to form these relationships we minister not only to those in need but also to those offering skills as volunteers, allowing them to grow into the vision that Christ has for each of us.

"Harry and I have had a busy year (2006) working in Campbell County. We had the Art and Crafts camp in July where we had between 20 and 30 children every day for two and a half weeks. This year we were able to take them to the pool, boating, a trip to the Children's Museum in Oak Ridge, Water Fun Park in Williamsburg, Kentucky, picnics, hiking and a wonderful day when local artist came and gave them a lesson in drawing.
The second part of the camp was when the group went to Grace Point. Stephen and Patricia Askew with their team showed these children a wonderful spirit-filled holiday. Crafts, boating, singing, campfires, swimming and an emotional farewell program made this time a memorable time.
We were also part of a group that took some older children to Washington, DC. This has been planned for over a year. It was wonderful to be a part of this very exciting time for the kids!
Harry has continued his mission working with CASA, CAJI and several other organizations. We have been blessed by many of our friends who continue to show us their 'mountain spirit.'
Our work has been made possible through donations from the ARMT of the Diocese of East Tennessee, friends and the work of the Holy Spirit." - from the 2006 Annual report
